Ahoj Prague !

I can’t even realize how time flies! It’s been almost 4 weeks since I arrived in Prague and it still feels like yesterday when I got on the plane and said goodbye to my friends and family back in Greece.. Living and studying abroad had always been one of my life goals and honestly, if someone had asked me a year ago where I thought I would be now-a year later- the prospect of me moving to Prague was definitely rather low…or maybe … non existing! I mean, you can never actually know what life has in store for you 🙂 And yet here I am typing my first blog post ever at 1 am-even though I have to get up in less than six hours to get to Uni! (Now does this show dedication or what ?) The reason I decided to start this blog is so that you guys can Czech out (see what I did there?) what I am up to in my everyday life !

Sooo..why Prague? Well, basically because I fell in love with the idea of moving to a foreign country and exploring a different culture whilst being a student abroad, and of course because of all the wonderful stories that I’ve heard about Prague from previous Erasmus students and friends who have traveled here for vacation. Another reason I chose Prague for my Erasmus studies, was also because it’s centered in the heart of Europe-which means that traveling to other countries will be easy, and mainly because my home University only offered 2 choices for Erasmus studies : It was either Prague or Krakow- but honestly I wish I could choose both !

The most awesome part though is that I get to share this life-changing experience with my amazing friend Ioanna, whom I’ve known since my first year in Uni. Having a friend by your side always makes things easier…especially when you need them to be your personal photographer -sometimes selfies aren’t just enough- haha 😛 We are also sharing a room together at the student’s dorms – a topic which I will focus on extensively at a separate blog post.

There are soo many things that I want to do during this semester abroad and so many places that I want to travel to! However, I’ve got a very limited amount of time,  as I’m staying here for a few months and I’m going to be mostly busy writing my bachelor’s thesis..So I’ll try to make the most out of it and take advantage of this time to fully enjoy these 4 months here 🙂 My plans for these months are very ambitious of course ! Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Krakow, and hopefully Budapest too, watch out I’m coming for you !

In conclusion, I strongly believe that it’s going to be an amazing semester here and I’m pretty sure that when all this is going to be over, I won’t want to leave !  This was a very general and introductory post to what you guys should expect from my future blog posts ! I really hope you enjoy reading my blog and who knows, maybe you’ll find it helpful in case you’re planning your Erasmus or visit in Prague 🙂

Lots of love,
